Since 1948, the Mortgage Bankers Association of New York, Inc. has offered its members opportunities for networking and education and has represented the interests of its members in the political and business arenas. A broad spectrum of firms and individuals choose membership in the MBA, including mortgage bankers and brokers, commercial and investment banks and other institutional lenders, title companies, attorneys, accountants, appraisers and environmental services firms. The MBA is a great place for lenders, their clients and consultants to the industry to meet and share their collective knowledge of the business. The MBA's signature event (Tavern on the Green) has featured guest speakers ranging from local and national political leaders to CEOs of major companies involved in the commercial and multifamily real estate finance industry. The MBA's education seminars are always topical and are scheduled to work with the members’ business schedules. The MBA's cocktail parties and annual Holiday Party provide members with a relaxed, cordial atmosphere in which to share experiences with their colleagues.
