  • Volunteer Credit Report.   We provide a full  bureau credit report. If desired, we will also mail a copy of the report to the applicant to help you comply with FCRA rules.

Criminal Searches

Strategic Information Resources is proud of the international network of information we can deliver to our clients. We work with you to customize a specific volunteer screening criteria that meets the needs of your company. SIR understands the different state court systems nationwide and can direct you to the most efficient and cost effective ways of getting the information you need.

  • Court Records.  Our nationwide retrieval network can provide access to court records anywhere in the US.
  • Federal Records.  SIR will provide detailed records of federal district court convictions against your applicant. This search is available either by state or nationwide.
  • National CrimeNet.  This option searches a database of over 240 million criminal records compiled from over 300 different sources. Data sources vary by state but may include state and county court dockets, incarceration records, and traffic violations.
  • Sex Offender Registry.  We have access to detailed information from across the nation.
 


 

 
Driving Records

Irresponsible drivers can inflict tremendous damage on your company.   Poor driving decisions by your employees can lead to expensive litigation, high insurance premiums, and a damaged reputation in the community.   Strategic Information Resources can search personal or commercial license records in any of the 45 states that make these records available.  All results are formatted and returned in compliance with the DPPA (Drivers Privacy Protection Act)

Drug Testing

According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the average workplace implementing drug testing can reduce work injuries by over 50%.  Strategic Information Resources can help your company if you are just beginning a program or if you are looking for an experienced provider with a nationwide network of facilities.  We offer two types of testing:

  • 5 Panel Screen
    Amphetamines, Cannabinoids, Cocaine Metabolite, Opiates, Phencyclidine (PCP)
  • 10 Panel Screen
    Amphetamines, Barbiturates, Benzodiazepines, Cannabinoids, Cocaine Metabolite, Methaqualone, Methadone, Opiates, Phencyclidine (PCP), Propoxyphene

All testing is conducted by HHS approved laboratories with state of the art GC/MS technology. All specimens are split with 1/2 kept in frozen storage to provide greater protection to the employer in case of disputes.

Federal Sanctions

Companies that employ, accept volunteer service from, or enter into contracts with excluded parties risk fines of up to $10,000 per violation.

In addition, all federal health care programs will withhold reimbursement if services are provided directly, indirectly, or in part by an individual or business entity that is currently excluded  by any of the 61 federal agencies with the power to sanction.

To diminish this risk, Strategic Information Resources can ascertain if your prospective and current employees, volunteers, contractors, or vendors are named as an excluded party.

Patriot Act Compliance

In an effort to strengthen America against future terrorist attacks, the U.S. Congress passed the Patriot Act in 2001.   One provision of this act, prevents businesses from participating in “any transaction or dealing” in the United States with specifically designated entities or people.   Penalties include prosecution, fines up to $65,000, and irreparable harm to a company’s reputation.

Verification Services

Strategic Information Resources delivers a comprehensive suite of services to verify information given by a prospective volunteer.  Outsourcing this process to SIR will ensure a uniform and standardized process that contains no discrimination. 

  • Employment Verification.  We will confirm dates of employment, title, and request feedback about your applicant.
  • Education Verification.  We will confirm degrees, graduation dates, and special academic honors.
  • Professional License Verification.  Our staff will diligently research the current validity of any licenses or professional credentials stated by your applicant.
  • Social Security Validation.  Our service matches the name of your applicant to the social security number given.  In addition, we provide previous addresses and any aliases associated with the SS#.
  • Address Verification.  Using a database of over 500 information sources, we’ll report known addresses associated with your applicant.
  • Military Service Verification.  We can deliver an official copy of an applicant’s military record.
