Health care providers that employ or enter into contracts with excluded parties risk fines of up to $10,000 per violation. In addition, all federal health care programs will withhold reimbursement if services are provided directly, indirectly, or in part by an individual or business entity that is currently excluded by any of the 61 federal agencies with the power to sanction. To diminish this risk, Strategic Information Resources can ascertain if your prospective and current employees, contractors, or vendors are named as an excluded party. SIR is authorized to query or report to NPDB / HIPDB on behalf of eligible employers.
